Lashes

What are classic eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions add more thickness and length to your lashes making them noticeably beautiful. One eyelash extension is adhered onto one isolated eyelash as close to the lash line without attaching to your skin, giving an illusion that they are growing from your root.

What are volume extensions ?

Volume or Mega Volume lashes are the fullest look you can have with extensions. You can get 2-7 eyelash extensions on 1 eyelash with the Volume Set and 6-18+ with Mega Volume. They look like fans, which are hand made as we apply them, not store bought clusters. They are a lot thinner in diameter than classic extensions so we are able to apply more than one. Volume lashes must be isolated and remain separated just like classic lashes to avoid any damage towards your natural lashes..

How do fills work?

Fills are to maintain the fullness of your extensions. Since your own eyelashes grow while the extensions are on, any extensions that have grown too far from the lash line are removed and replace with a new extension as close to the lash line without touching the lid. Also some extensions will fall off without your natural lash attached because of the environment that the adhesive has gone through. Do not be worried if your natural lash does fall off with the extension, we shed hair everyday, we just don't notice them because they are not as thick as the extension. Clients normally come in for fills every 2-3 weeks, anything 4 WEEKS and after is a full set. Fill prices are constant for those who come back with 40% of extensions still remaining. Anything dramatically less is subject to additional charge or considered a full set, so take gentle care of them!

Do i have to avoid water, oil, or saunas?

NOPE! The glue used is INSTANTLY OIL AND WATER PROOF.

What is a Lash Lift and how does it work?

The Lash Lift can be an alternate beauty enhancement to lash extensions. What it does is lift and darken your natural lashes, there are no extensions involved so the results are from purely what you have to work with. There is no maintenance for the lash lift after 48 hrs so you can rub your eyes, put mascara on, or whatever you please. Results last from 6- 8 weeks (depends how fast your lash cycle is) meaning they will keep growing and then the natural state of your eyelashes will return once they shed or they grow down/straight and it becomes less noticeable.

Do eyelash extensions damage your eyelashes?

Eyelash extensions are not damaging unless you : tug or pull them out prematurely, when you don’t clean them, go to a lash tech that does not properly isolate or separate the extensions, uses to heavy or long of extensions or uses too much glue. While the extensions are on your lashes they actually grow. They do not get cut off, nor do they shrink.

Do you have different styles?

At your consultation I pin point your personal style. I have different curls, weights, styles, and lengths to choose from. Keep in mind the same style on one person will not look the same on another because of your own natural curl, amount of lashes, and shape of eyes. You can change it up when you get fills, if you want more of a flare, more glam, go natural, etc., we can always play with your look!

Do you style asian eyes?

As a Korean, I had difficulty finding someone who can compliment my almond eyes. I have found different ways to style Asian eyelash extensions in a flattering way, everything will be discussed at your style consultation before your appointment!

Can I still wear eye makeup?

The less eye makeup you wear, the longer they will last but yes you can wear makeup, but keep it light. Just no mascara on the extensions. No water proof makeup. No creamy eyeliner, pot liners, pencil liner, or liquid eyeliner. Eye shadow is the best way for eyeliner if you wet the brush before applying. Remove every night! Just remember - anything you put on your lower lid will transfer to the top lid so be mindful when wearing lower eyeliner, or mascara. The glue I use is oil and water proof so you can use whatever makeup remover you would like.

Does getting any of the eyelash procedures hurt?

No, if executed correctly nothing causes pain, you actually can't feel anything and turns out to be a relaxing time, many girls tend to fall asleep. The extensions are supposed to feel very light weight and looks as if its coming from the root.

Is there anything I need to do prior my appointment?

  • Please do not wear any eye makeup or product around your eyes before your appointment.

  • Come with clean eyes (more time for applying lashes)

  • Please do not curl your eyelashes before your appointment.

  • Remove contact lenses before appointment, you can put them back in after the appointment.

  • I recommend no caffeine before your appointment so your eyes don't twitch and you can relax and take a lash nap. (optional)

What is the eyelash cycle?

Eyelashes have three stages to its life cycle: Anagen (baby hairs), Catagen (teenage), and lastly, Telogen (adult lashes). We do not put extensions on the anagen hairs. Each person is different and so is there lash cycles. Usually, the telogen stage lasts up to 100 days until the lash naturally falls out. Both eyes usually don't grow lashes at the same rate, they are sisters not twins. It is also common to lose 1 to 5 lashes a day.

Contraindications for Eyelash Extensions

  • Current use of contact lenses (just remove them before application)

  • Currently on chemotherapy.

  • Alopecia areata.

  • Conjunctivitis (pink eye)

  • Had lasik eye surgery or blephoraplasty in the past 4 months.

what eyelash products do you use?

I use the highest quality products to provide quality work. Extensions are faux mink or real Siberian mink. All glues and products are formaldehyde and latex free. The glue I use is physician-developed, extra strength formula, oil resistant, water-proof, only sold to lash professionals, and packaged in a U.S. FDA inspected facility.

eyebrows

What is microblading?

Sometimes referred to as microstroking, feathering eyebrows, or micropigmentation, it is the manual method of permanent makeup done with a hand-held tool to correct, enhance the look of your eyebrows, and create elegant eyebrow embroidery. Pigment is deposited in the dermis in a hair stroke-like pattern to make the eyebrows look realistic and as natural as possible.  Microblading is a 2 step procedure, the initial procedure and the following touch up is in between 6-8 weeks. A touch-up is needed because the implanted pigment will lighten by 30-70% during the initial healing stage over the first 2 weeks.

Does the microblading procedure hurt?

A highly-effective topical anesthetic are used throughout the procedure, and taking to this anesthetic varies from person to person. Some feel nothing at all some feel discomfort. Having this procedure done during your menstrual cycle will increase discomfort.

How many procedures do I need?

For most clients, two. Two appointments are included in the initial price (first appointment and touch up). Another minimal touch-up is possible depending on one’s skin type. All appointments must be scheduled at least 6-8 weeks apart, after that only yearly touch ups are recommended to maintain the look. (Depends how many procedures have been done to eyebrows and how each client took to the pigment)

How long does microblading last for?

Results will vary from person to person but they are considered semi-permanent because it will fade overtime but not completely disappear. You will need a touch up every 1-1.5 years depending on the person’s lifestyle and skin type.

Factors that effect permanent makeup retention

Sun exposure breaks down the pigments underlying in the skin, then the Immune system eats away at the pigments. Skin type, people who run extremely oily tend it fade faster. Things like lifestyle, if you work out a lot, if you work out side, drinking, smoking etc. and hygiene, are you over exfoliating, do you have skin conditions, and health factors, what medications you will have to take, etc.

What should I expect after my treatment?

Immediately after, the area will be 20-40% darker and get darker the next few days as the scabs form. Over the next 7-14 days the scabs will flake off bit by bit. Do not pick or help the scabs fall off. Keep to the aftercare until scabs are gone.

After the scabbing phase is over, you will see the color of your pigment appears foggy and lighter than expected because a layer of skin has grown over the pigment; HOWEVER, over the next several weeks your bodies cell renewal process will regenerate the pigment and the strokes will appear more visible and vibrant. It takes about 28-45 days for the regeneration process, that’s why touch-ups are 6-8 weeks.

What is the difference between cosmetic tattooing and body art tattooing?

Body tattoos involve ink, while cosmetic tattoos involve pigments. These pigments are designed to fade over time. Fading is desired to allow room for changes to the color or shaping to compliment the clients facial shape throughout the years.

what is your sterilization process?

  • All needles are pre-sterilized and pre packaged, all items are single-use, and disposable after each client/appointment.

  • All stations and surfaces are covered and then disinfected with Caviwipes after every client.

  • Gloves and masks are worn at all times, and are disposed of after every client.

What is brow lamination?

Brow lamination is the new trend that creates darker, fuller, fluffier brows by manipulating your own brow hairs in an upward motion by shaping and styling. This is a possible temporary alternative to microblading as it is non-invasive.

how long does brow lamination last?

6-8 weeks, lasts longest when you condition them daily with the Biotin serum.
